Reboots seem to have become the norm of late, with most iconic shows and films being brought back for a 2018 audience.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer is one of those shows that will be getting a reboot and, as you can expect, fans weren’t too happy.
Despite the backlash from fans, the OG stars of the show, Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz have come out in support for the reboot.
Both stars restated their support for the new series, insisting fans should give it a chance.
At New York Comic Con this week, David was thrown a lot of questions about it all.
"I’m very happy for them. They want to embrace a new generation, something new.
“It’s a great opportunity for a reboot like this to show where we are with society now, what you can do with technology.
“How you can explore those relationships with the same kinds of metaphors. I’m all for it.”
In a separate interview with People, Sarah said, “At the end of the day, it’s all about great storytelling.
“If a story lives on, then I think it should be told in any incarnation it can be told in.”
