This time last year, we were all preparing ourselves for the imminent return of Gilmore Girls with their new mini series Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life on Netflix.
The new episodes came out to mixed reviews from viewers because not only did those famous final words leave us with more questions than we started with, but fans were also a little torn over how they felt about Rory Gilmore and how she treated everyone around her.
So, understandably, fans wanted more.
They wanted to know who the father of Rory's baby was and if she was capable of redeeming herself after doing what she did in those four seasonal episodes (we're not going to spoil it for those who haven't seen A Year In The Life yet but if you still haven't seen it, come on, get streaming!).
Over the last 12 months, the stars of Gilmore Girls have all said that they'd be interested in filming more episodes, but only at the right time.
Alexis Bledel, aka Rory, said that she'd be happy to record more episodes but she would have to think "about the story and certainly the timing" before committing.
Kelly Bishop, our beloved Emily Gilmore, said she would "jump at the chance" to record more episodes and Scott Paterson, who plays Luke Danes, wants there to be a Gilmore Girls reunion every year!
So most of the stars are down, and now the show's creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has said that more episodes could definitely happen now that she's signed a deal with Amazon.
Whilst speaking to RadioTimes, the writer and director said that Amazon are happy for her to record more episodes if she wants to.
"We carved out a little niche for ourselves with Amazon saying that if we ever want to do it, if the girls and us get together and we have a concept that works, then we have the freedom to do it."
Amy said that she sees the show's stars regularly as they meet up for lunches and coffee every few weeks, so that would definitely help planning a new season!
