Last night, the first episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since the star's mother passed away, aired on American television.
At the beginning of the episode, Jimmy paid tribute to his mother form behind his desk, telling his audience about his final moments with her and when he knew things weren't going to get better.
"As some of you know, my mother Gloria passed away recently and I cancelled our shows last week to be with my family and make arrangements."
Jimmy started to tell some heart-warming stories about his mother and tried to hold back tears as he informed his audience of some very intimate memories.
"She was the best audience, she was the one I was always trying to make laugh and she was such a fan of the show and everything I did.
"When we were little, my Mum would walk us to the store, me and my sister, and we would hold hands.
"She would squeeze my hand three times and say, 'I love you' and I'd squeeze back, 'I love you too'.
"Last week I was in the hospital, by her side, and I grabbed her hand and I squeezed, 'I love you'... I just knew we were in trouble."
Jimmy ended his tribute to Gloria by saying that he's very thankful to be able to film his show and he's "appreciative of all the support" that his family had received over the last few days.
