Today, November 15, Australia celebrates Steve Irwin Day in memory of the Wildlife Warrior who did wonderful things for the flora and fauna of our country whilst also being a humorous and sincere TV host.
Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin always tend to spend this day reflecting on Steve's legacy and today is no different.
The Irwin family have all posted wonderfully heartfelt tributes to Steve on social media and you should probably get some tissues if you're planning on checking them out.
Bindi posted a picture of herself with Steve on Instagram, captioning the photo with a message reminding her followers that "we are call connected" to the wildlife around us:
"November 15. Steve Irwin Day.
"Today we remember all that Dad achieved for wildlife and wild places around the world.
"He taught me that we must all treat animals the way we wish to be treated.
"I think that his advice applies to both animals and people. In order to protect our planet, we must first learn to be kind in every part of life.
"If we are able to show kindness for each other we can be kind to our wildlife and in turn, our planet.
"I strive to encourage people to remember that conservation is not only about the cute and cuddly creatures, but also our crocodilians, snakes and sharks.
"We are all connected in some way."
Robert, who was only a toddler when his father passed away, posted a photo of the whole Irwin family on his Instagram page:
"Happy Steve Irwin Day.
"So excited to be remembering dad's legacy with a celebration at Australia Zoo.
"He was the greatest Wildlife Warrior, conservationist and dad on the planet."
Finally, Terri took to Twitter to share a video of Steve in his element and doing what he did best, helping the planet.
We'll never forget this national icon!
