Actress Tamera Mowry, most famous for her role in 90s sitcom Sister, Sister and her husband, former Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, are just two people currently mourning the death of a family member after yet another mass shooting in the U.S.
After Tamera spotted a ‘missing person’ post of a young woman on Twitter, she identified herself as the girl’s aunty. The next few hours saw a back and forth between her niece’s roommate and Tamera in an attempt to find her.
Tamera and her husband have since released the following statement:
"Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night's shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks.
"Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”
Alaina was one of 12 people killed at Borderline Bar and Grill yesterday during a weekly college western night after a gunman stormed the venue. The attack was just the second mass shooting in the U.S. in less than two weeks.
