Feast Your Eyes On Young Newt Scamander In The Second 'Fantastic Beasts' Movie

What great casting!

Feast Your Eyes On Young Newt Scamander In The Second 'Fantastic Beasts' Movie Warner Bros.

After waiting such a long time for an update on Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald, we finally have something to swoon over.

Entertainment Weekly has released our first image of a young Newt Scamander learning the tools of his trade at Hogwarts!

The image shows Newt, played here by Joshua Shea, getting ready to face off something in Albus Dumbledore's Transfiguration class in the early 1900s.

Newt enrolled in Hogwarts in 1908, but was later expelled for, as Colin Farrell's character in the first film explains "endangering human life".

Apparently, the storyline of the new film will focus on the relationship between Newt and his former teacher, Dumbledore, however Eddie Redmayne, who plays Newt as an adult, told the publication that it'll also focus on his relationship with Leta LeStrange.

"Leta, it’s one of those relationships where there was definitely great love there. But was it ever a full-blown relationship? I don’t know.

"But certainly, she’s somebody who has touched him hugely. At the beginning of this film you realise she’s now in a relationship with Newt’s brother so, of course, that comes with great complications."

Newt's older brother appeared in the first trailer for the film and we'll be seeing him and Leta in the new film when it premieres later this year.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald will hit cinemas on November 16, so Potterheads, prepare yourselves!
