If ever there was an iconic movie franchise, it’s the Back To The Future movies.
We all grew up on the films and wished we could own our very own hoverboard, having to settle for a skateboard instead.
Now, with all the movie reboots going on, fans have been asking for a fourth Back To The Future film and the cast have spoken out about it all.
Michael J Fox (Marty McFly), Lea Thompson (Lorraine Braines-McFly), Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown), and Thomas Wilson (Biff Tannen) reunited at a recent panel discussion at Fan Expo in the U.S (Crispin Glover wasn’t able to attend the event).
The stars were asked about the possibility for a fourth film and quickly shut down suggestions, much to the dismay of fans.
Thomas explained, “Basically, I think America is saying, ‘Come on they’ve wrecked every other franchise with bad sequels, why not this one?’
“C’mon, we would watch it until it sucks.”
They further explained that the original co-creator of the series, Bob Gale, is the “gatekeeper of the franchise” and has no interest in a reboot.
Any kind of remake or reboot based on the franchise has been blocked, so don’t go hoping for one any time soon.
Are you happy with this decision or were you hoping for a reboot?
