Here’s Where To Celebrate The Marriage Equality Survey Result Across The Country!

What a result! If you're like us, you're absolutely ready to burst out of your chair and join the party to celebrate that love has won!

To celebrate all the work our community and Yes Campaign volunteers have put into this result, Australia is getting ready to celebrate!

Here are the best places in across the country to celebrate this history-making day!


The Sydney Opera House 

Tonight, from around 8:15pm AEDT the Opera House will turning purple!


Taylor Square

From 6pm, Taylor Square will be holding the The Street Festival! It starts a Taylor Square then heads down Oxford Street. There'll be music and performances and dancing and LOTS of celebrating!! Drop in and say hi to us on your way down Oxford St!

The Colombian 

The Colombian on Oxford Street is celebrating by hosting one big party and it's the perfect spot to sit at the window and watch the sun go down.



The Beresford Hotel

The Beresford Hotel is doing $5 Chandon and Absolut Vodka from 6pm to 8pm... how can you say no to that! 



The Landsdowne Hotel 

The Landsdowne has DJ’s from 2pm until late and shows by Australia’s premier original tribute lip syncing parody drag band, The Magda Szubanskis.

They have been kicking on since 11am so off you go! 

The Lord Roberts Hotel

The Lord Roberts Hotel has 2 x $20 Cocktail special.. tbh they had us at cocktails! 


Rumpus Room in West End from 6pm.

Rumpus Room in West End are hosting a massive party in Brisbane to celebrate all the hard work that went into achieving the YES VOTE with GetUp, Equal Love and members of the LGBTIQ community.

"This is a chance to drink, dance and celebrate all our hard efforts, because love is love!"


Lygon Street from 5.30pm

Lygon street is about to host street party of the year! 

Organisers have posted this of the Melbourne's Result Street Party tonight... 

Out on Lygon St and up into the John Curtin there will be music, drag and performance, food, booze, dancing and good times.

Melbourne's own, Karen From Finance will take us through the evening. Verrrrry special secret guest bands (shh secret), along with HABITS, Wet Lips, Lubulwa, HEXDEBT, BV, Tanzer, MATKA, Popchops, MinnieTaur, Anna Diction, Zelda Moon, The Ballarat Orchestra + LGBTIQ Choir and so much more!
