Esperance Police have arrested and charged a 27-year-old Castletown woman with stealing more than $1000 worth of groceries from Woolworths Esperance.
It is alleged the woman, a former employee, shoplifted via the self-service check out on four separate occasions between June 5 and June 13.
It is understood the woman scanned and paid for only a portion of her shopping on each occasion.
Police arrested the woman at her address on Wednesday, June 13, and charged her with four counts of shoplifting.
Police thanked the public for their assistance in the matter.
The arrest is part of an ongoing operation by local police to crackdown on theft in the region.
