SYDNEY: Here’s Exactly What’s Open Over The Easter Long Weekend

A long weekend is ALWAYS welcomed, but it can be confusing trying to navigate your life with the public holidays and change in retail trading restrictions. You need to make sure you’ve done all your grocery shopping or retail therapy before the public holiday hits.

We’ve made a list of what’s open and what’s not over the break.

Good Friday

It’s a public holiday so pretty much everything is closed.

Coles, Aldi, Woolworths and major supermarkets will be closed.

Westfield, David Jones, Myer and big fashion retailers will be closed.

Small grocery stores or convenience stores may or may not be open.

7-Eleven will be open.

Bottle shops including Dan Murphy’s, BWS and Liquorland will be closed.

Pubs, hotels, bars and clubs can open until 10pm on Good Friday but some won’t even bother.

Easter Saturday

Retail will trade as normal on every other Saturday.

Easter Sunday

It’s a public holiday so restricted trading will be in force.
