An ox-tag game has turned violent in Parramatta with a man stabbed in the wake of the result overnight.
The 26 year old was found at Ollie Webb Reserve at around 9:30 suffering wounds to his arm and leg.
Emergency services were called to Ollie Webb Reserve on Pitt Street, Parramatta, following reports a man had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, police located a 26-year-old man with stab wounds to his arm and leg.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Police are currently investigating.
Officers attached to Parramatta Local Area Command initiated a search of the area and commenced an investigation.
Inquiries are continuing and police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who might have information to contact Parramatta Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
