A man has pleaded guilty to the murder of a woman and her child in 2008.
Their bodies were found 1200km apart, with Daniel James Holdom accused of killing Karlie Pearce-Stevenson and two-year-old Khandalyce Pearce.
It is alleged that Khandalyce's body was dumped on the side of a highway, with her death estimated between December 19 and 20, 2008.
Her 20-year-old mother Karlie is believed to have died between December 14 and 15 2008.
Her body was found in Belanglo State Forest.
Holdom's trial was due to start on Monday, but he has today submitted guilty pleas.
There will be a sentencing hearing on September 28.
