Government funding for future training!

A boost for Sunraysia Students!

The Andrews Labour Government has added awarded funds to SuniTAFE’s Mildura Campus to give all locals access to high quality training.

The Skills First TAFE Community Service Fund has allocated 1.52 million dollars to the local institution, so the TAFE can continue to deliver services and programs that ensure everyone can access the training needed to complete the study.

The cash injection is set to provide classroom learning, literacy, and numeracy support for disadvantaged learners; especially for the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning, foundation and English language students.

$590,000 will be put to use at the Mildura Skills and Jobs Centre; with officials hoping the funds will help locals get training and career support they need to find a job or move into further training.

Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney visited staff and students yesterday, saying this funding will help SuniTAFE keep students on track to finish their training to get the job they want.

The Minister says all Victorians deserve access to high quality training, and that’s exactly what the Fund is delivering.
