The Nylex Clock and Silos have become a hub of graffiti and tagging since it was emptied over a decade ago. There are plans to redevelop the area into apartments and bars, but not before it gets a street art makeover.
UNTOLD has brought 25 of the world’s best street artists to Melbourne to create works of art for a nine-day exhibition. Visitors will be able to step into the Old Grain Warehouse to see work by artists such as Elle, INSA and Mysterious AI. The work will also contrast against the graffiti that has built up in the warehouse over the years.
The event will also be raising funds for the Reach Foundation. The foundation, which benefits Australia’s youth, are looking to raise awareness as well as $1 million – so you know your money is going into good hands.
Where: The Malt District, 2-8 Gough Street, Cremorne
When: 10am-6pm, Saturday 21st - Sunday 29th April
