Use caution when flying drones

No Drone Zone

With drone use becoming a part of everyday life and business, the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources is reminding flyers to use caution when flying drones over national parks, reserves and marine parks.

The call has been made for drone users to comply with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, especially when it comes to wildlife.

In SA, drones photographing or filming sea mammals and other wildlife must be at least 300 metres away.
