A woman has died after getting struck by a car in Nerang overnight.
Police believe the woman was on the road at the corner of Ferry and Nerang Streets around 7pm on Tuesday night when she was was hit by a passing car.
The 44-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the vehicle wasn't seriously injured but was treated for shock.
Meantime a teenager was left fighting for life following a second serious crash overnight.
The 17-year-old passenger was critically injured around 9:30, when the ute she was in crashed into an embankment near the corner of Worongary Rd and The Panorama at Tallai.
The 17-year-old boy behind the wheel also suffered serious injuries.
Both patients were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The Forensic Crash Unit was called in to investigate, and urged anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
