Police hunt rat-tailed face-tattooed thieves

Police are on the hunt for two men, following a string of burglaries across the Gold Coast.

Up to ten local businesses have been targeted between Sunday and Thursday of this week, including a medical centre, takeaway stores, cafes and a hardware shop, and police believe the break-ins are all linked.

The businesses were in Varsity Lakes, Burleigh Waters, Broadbeach, Miami, Mudgeeraba, Hope Island and Southport.

In most cases the two thieves apparently smashed their way in with a rock or brick and took off with cash.

Police have now released CCTV images of the men wanted for questioning and their alleged get-away vehicle, stolen from a Carrara home on Monday.
