Morwell On Track To Create 23 New Jobs

The Victorian government has announced 23 jobs will be created in Morwell as part of the construction of a new manufacturing plant which will build parts for the new high capacity Metro Trains project.

Electrical auxiliary power systems and the traction systems for the trains will be built at the Times Electric Australia factory. Recruiting is already underway and jobs will be advertised over the coming months.

Meanwhile, construction on the new depot for the project in Pakenham East is underway with the larger trains expected to come into service in 2019.
