The latest crime statistics for Victoria have been released, revealing a 9.5% decrease in the number of offences committed around the state.
In the 12 months leading up to March, when compared with the previous year, Latrobe Valley still has the second-highest crime rate in Victoria, with 17,856 offences per 100,000 people. However, it is a 7.5% decrease to the figures last year.
Bass Coast saw a 9.7% drop to 6,895.1, meanwhile South Gippsland's crime rate dropped by 7.3%, and the Baw Baw Shire was down 3.8% to 7,677.9 in the past 12 months.
