It’s crazy it took this long, but FINALLY, Adelaidians and Hobartians will be able to fly directly between the two capital cities in less than half the time.
Tomorrow Jetstar will be launching it’s first direct flight from Adelaide to Hobart!
Up until now, we’ve had to fly to either Melbourne or Sydney in order to make our way to Hobart, resulting in travel times between four - eight hours.
Now, with these direct flights, airtime is expected to be just one hour and 50 minutes!
The last time direct flights were offered between the two cities was in 2010 by Tiger Air, before they scrapped them due to lack of demand. However, it seems more and more Aussies are flocking between the two destinations are we hope the flights are here to stay this time.
Flights will take off three times a week - on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings.
