It might be a good day to take the bus.
Petrol prices have jumped by up to 30 cents a litre overnight in South Australia, with some outlets now selling unleaded for around $1.65l.
The price rise is a four year high.
Mark Borlade, RAA senior manager, said the jump caught a lot of people off guard.
"There's still a lot of stations at around $1.40, mostly independents, so we suggest you fill up at them."
He suggested if you have missed the lower prices to just fill up with enough petrol to get you around for a few days.
